Welcome to the vibrant Ladies Department of A.C.K. St. James & All Martyrs Memorial Cathedral. We are a Christian-based women’s group that brings together mothers and ladies who have entered a new stage of life beyond their youth. Our department is a unique gathering of God-fearing women who are dedicated to building stronger families and communities.
Building Stronger Families and Communities
At the Ladies Department, we take pride in our active involvement in various church development activities. From managing the church store to enhancing the beauty of our grounds through landscaping and contributing to the installation of church screens, we play a vital role in the growth and progress of A.C.K. St. James & All Martyrs Memorial Cathedral Anglican Communion. Our vibrant spirit is a true gift from God to our cathedral community.
We value the importance of coming together and supporting one another in our journey of faith. That’s why we schedule regular meetings on the 4th Sunday of every month. During these gatherings, we focus on molding Christian women with a passion for souls and a deep concern for mental, physical, and spiritual development. It is our mission to empower women to live out their faith and make a positive impact in the world around them.
Outreach Mission Work
The Ladies Department actively engages in outreach mission work, reaching out to those in need and making a difference in their lives. Some of our key outreach initiatives include visiting Murang’a women’s prison to provide support, care, and spiritual guidance. We also extend our compassion to homes for the aged and other elderly individuals, offering companionship, assistance, and love.
In addition to our outreach efforts, the Ladies Department takes on various projects to support the church’s growth and development. We have proudly contributed to the construction of the church store, providing a valuable resource for the congregation. Furthermore, we have played a significant role in the installation of cabros on the church compound, enhancing accessibility and aesthetics. Additionally, we have been instrumental in procuring a church bus, facilitating transportation for various church activities and programs.
